WINNIPEG—Provisions to the labour code that allow employers to pay workers with disabilities less than minimum wage have somehow persisted until 2013 in Manitoba and Saskatchewan, and are finally to be removed. But they’re still on the books in Alberta.

Making the Site Accessible

I'm attempting to sort out the best way to make the site accessible to as many people as possible. At the moment I'm mostly thinking about full description of the content of photos (not just a tagline describing the scene of the photo) and including transcripts for audio and video content.

I've spoken a bit with Dru about my concerns, but poking at the site over the last little bit, I'm not even sure of the best way to go forward with this.

Any thoughts or suggestions?
